Early Childhood Screening - Two Harbors - September 18, 2025

Early Childhood Screening -
Early Childhood Screening 2025-26

Early Childhood Screening is a check on how your child is growing and developing. Early Childhood Screening helps you find out how your child is doing & connect you and your child to early childhood programs and other community services.

What happens during Screening?

Trained professionals will check your child’s:

  • Vision & Hearing
  • Health History
  • Immunization Records
  • Height/Weight/Growth
  • Skills in Thinking
  • Communication & Language
  • Large/Small Muscles
  • Social/Emotional Development

All of this information is important for your child’s continued learning and readiness for future school success. Screening is required for entrance into kindergarten. However, this is not a kindergarten readiness screening. Ideally, this screening will take place when a child is 3 years old.

If you have questions about Early Childhood Screening, please call 218-226-4437 ext 8158 or klenski@isd381.org
