About Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening is recommended at age 3 and required for all children before they enter kindergarten. Screening includes a quick check of a child's development, hearing and vision screening, height & weight and social emotional development. Resources and recommendations will be shared. Children need to complete Early Childhood Screening only once between the age of 3 and 5 years of age.

Screening is required for entrance into kindergarten. However, this is not a kindergarten readiness screening. Ideally, this screening will take place when a child is 3 years old.
