Adult Open Weight Room Whether you are looking to learn about weightlifting, or want to get back into weightlifting, or simply expand on your current routine, then Adult Open Weight Room is for you! There will not be a certified instructor or coach. This is an open session for you to use the equipment and workout at your own pace. A supervisor is present to answer questions and provide safety advice with the equipment. Personal training references are also available, ask the supervisor! Agate Flag Football Program *Open to all students entering Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade in the Fall of 2024* Agate Flag football is a great introduction to the game. Flag football takes place two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Participants will have the opportunity to play at halftime of a varsity Agate game. Summer 2024 Agate Youth Football Camp *Attention any student (boy or girl) who will be entering K-6 grade in the Fall of 2024 Why participate in the Agate Youth Football Camp? You will learn the fundamentals of the game of football while having fun and improving yourself as a football player with your friends. You will need shorts/sweats, t-shirt/sweatshirt, football cleats, and a water bottle. Coach Andy Morsette as well as members from the Varsity Staff, Jr. High, Pony Football Coaching Staff, and various Varsity Agate players will serve as instructors. American Heart Association CPR/AED/FirstAid Certification Gain the knowledge and skills to be certified in First Aid and/or CPR/AED. CPR/AED covers the AHA steps and process for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and AED use. Students will learn the necessary skills to perform high-quality CPR and provide proper use of an AED as expected by the American Heart Association guidelines. This class adds FirstAid certification as well. FirstAid covers topics in stopping the bleeding, use of a tourniquet, finding the problem with an unresponsive patient, providing an epi-pen, and safely removing gloves. Two Harbors Community Theatre Fall Musical We can’t share the title just yet, but we can give you these hints: You will need to go under the sea to participate, someone will lose her voice and a prince will have to kiss the girl! Ages 5 to senior citizens are encouraged to get involved as roles will be available in all age groups . Rehearsals begin August 19, public performances Nov 15 and 16. All who sign up will be in the show. MUST sign up by May 15. Minimum 25 Maximum 60 (20 ages 5-11 yrs old, 40 ages 12 through adult) Location: THHS Auditorium Fee: $50/individual, $90/family max Aug 19-Nov 15 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30-9:00 (under 11 dismissed at 7:30) Not everyone is needed for every rehearsal Most cast will attend 1-2 nights per week, large roles will attend 2-3 nights per week. ECFE Big Wheels is a free event for all families. ECFE is a program for children ages birth to prekindergarten five. Big Wheels features vehicles and equipment from several local business. The business owners and workers are donating their time and machinery for children to explore. This is a wonderful time for children to see the vehicles up close. Please remember ALL children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. The Na-cho Bizness food truck will be set near the auditorium from 5 - 7 PM. We are looking forward to seeing you at Big Wheels!

Early Childhood Screening is a check on how your child is growing and developing. Early Childhood Screening helps you find out how your child is doing & connect you and your child to early childhood programs and other community services. What happens during Screening? Trained professionals will check your child’s: Vision & Hearing Health History Immunization Records Height/Weight/Growth Skills in Thinking Communication & Language Large/Small Muscles Social/Emotional Development All of this information is important for your child’s continued learning and readiness for future school success. Screening is required for entrance into kindergarten. However, this is not a kindergarten readiness screening. Ideally, this screening will take place when a child is 3 years old. Elementary Football Fun Camp 2024 Kids going into 1st - 6th Grade (School year 2024 - 2025) will learn football skills and have fun practicing in football activities during this 1 day, 1 hour camp. It is "non-contact” and no equipment is required. Workout clothes and cleats are recommended. Individual Band Lessons for Experienced Musicians Here’s your chance to build on your band instrumental talent! THHS band director Max Kelley is providing one-on-one lessons to anyone of any age. Mr. Kelley will help build on your current skill level, whatever that may be, and grow your talent. This is a great opportunity for students passionate about improving musically, or for adults who might be looking to get back into playing their chosen instrument. Renaissance tickets can be purchased at the gate or ahead of time through the Minnesota Renaissance website. Community Education is taking a trip to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Shakopee MN! A long time Minnesota tradition, the festival is a gathering of the finest crafters and artisans, a cornucopia of food, challenging and adventurous games, music, and stages full of acts of comedy and skill from this historic time period.On Saturday September 21st the bus will leave William Kelley School parking lot in Silver Bay at 7:30am and travel to Two Harbors. The bus will depart the Two Harbors High School Cedar Road parking lot at 8:15am. The bus will travel straight to the Renaissance, arriving about 11:30am. The bus will load again at 4:30pm, returning to Two Harbors at approximately 7:30pm, and then on to Silver Bay. This trip is open to all ages. Children 18 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
