    Early Childhood Screening is a check on how your child is growing and developing. Early Childhood Screening helps you find out how your child is doing & connect you and your child to early childhood programs and other community services. What happens during Screening? Trained professionals will check your child’s: Vision & Hearing Health History Immunization Records Height/Weight/Growth Skills in Thinking Communication & Language Large/Small Muscles Social/Emotional Development All of this information is important for your child’s continued learning and readiness for future school success. Screening is required for entrance into kindergarten. However, this is not a kindergarten readiness screening. Ideally, this screening will take place when a child is 3 years old. Renaissance tickets can be purchased at the gate or ahead of time through the Minnesota Renaissance website. Community Education is taking a trip to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Shakopee MN! A long time Minnesota tradition, the festival is a gathering of the finest crafters and artisans, a cornucopia of food, challenging and adventurous games, music, and stages full of acts of comedy and skill from this historic time period.On Saturday September 21st the bus will leave William Kelley School parking lot in Silver Bay at 7:30am and travel to Two Harbors. The bus will depart the Two Harbors High School Cedar Road parking lot at 8:15am. The bus will travel straight to the Renaissance, arriving about 11:30am. The bus will load again at 4:30pm, returning to Two Harbors at approximately 7:30pm, and then on to Silver Bay. This trip is open to all ages. Children 18 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

    Parent & Tot Swim Class - Summer 2024 Fun and inclusive class, to help your little one get more comfortable in the water. Parent(s) and tots join together in the pool for this course. I will help teach the fundamentals of swimming and get your child more comfortable with being in the water, by playing games and singing songs. This is a self paced course designed for the instructor to be there to guide you and give you skills to practice. THERE WILL BE NO ACCESS TO THE LOCKER ROOMS THIS SUMMER DUE TO BUILDING RENOVATIONS!
