Our objectives utilize developmentally appropriate activities which enhance a child's social development (particularly play and getting along with other children, relating to other adults, interacting as a group member, and learning to follow directions, etc.); To enhance a child's creativity through art projects, music experiences, dramatic play, story time, etc.; To stimulate a child intellectually by exposing the child to concepts and ideas and letting the child internalize on his/her own; not direct teaching or measuring accomplishments. To have fun! Children need to be registered for Preschool by September 1 of the applicable school year to attend. Once the year has started students are not typically added to the classroom. Late or mid-year enrollments may be considered depending on the class size and child's previous preschool enrollment. Are concerned about paying Preschool tuition? We have several options to help. If your family is eligible for free or reduced lunch, you may qualify for a Pathway 1 Early Learning Scholarship or Pathway 2 Early Learning Scholarship which would cover 100% of tuition. Pathway 1 Early Learning Scholarship Pathway 2 Early Learning Scholarship You may be eligible for reduced tuition based on your family’s income. Income verification for the last 2 pay periods or last year’s income is required to determine where your family falls on our Sliding Fee Scale. 5th - 6th Grade Volleyball - Fall 2024 2-3 practices /week TBD. 4 Playdate Tournaments (Sept 14th & 22nd Oct 5th & 12th). 5-6th grade will be a combined team and all tournaments will be played @ the 6th Grade level. TBD add'l games mid-week (2-4) will be scheduled with area elementary programs. Adult Open Weight Room Whether you are looking to learn about weightlifting, or want to get back into weightlifting, or simply expand on your current routine, then Adult Open Weight Room is for you! There will not be a certified instructor or coach. This is an open session for you to use the equipment and workout at your own pace. A supervisor is present to answer questions and provide safety advice with the equipment. Personal training references are also available, ask the supervisor! Agate Flag Football Program *Open to all students entering Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade in the Fall of 2024* Agate Flag football is a great introduction to the game. Flag football takes place two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Participants will have the opportunity to play at halftime of a varsity Agate game. Summer 2024 Agate Youth Football Camp *Attention any student (boy or girl) who will be entering K-6 grade in the Fall of 2024 Why participate in the Agate Youth Football Camp? You will learn the fundamentals of the game of football while having fun and improving yourself as a football player with your friends. You will need shorts/sweats, t-shirt/sweatshirt, football cleats, and a water bottle. Coach Andy Morsette as well as members from the Varsity Staff, Jr. High, Pony Football Coaching Staff, and various Varsity Agate players will serve as instructors. We'll discuss the different types, varieties, and methods that make us successful Northern Minnesota tomato growers. Bring home a tomato variety of your choice to test your new found knowledge. American Heart Association CPR/AED/FirstAid Certification Gain the knowledge and skills to be certified in First Aid and/or CPR/AED. CPR/AED covers the AHA steps and process for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and AED use. Students will learn the necessary skills to perform high-quality CPR and provide proper use of an AED as expected by the American Heart Association guidelines. This class adds FirstAid certification as well. FirstAid covers topics in stopping the bleeding, use of a tourniquet, finding the problem with an unresponsive patient, providing an epi-pen, and safely removing gloves.
